About
"Based in part on the author's personal experience, Assignment Algiers is an account of a representative selection of Office of strategic Services (OSS) operations in support of Allied military campaigns in the Mediterranean Theater during World War II. Erasmus Kloman served in three OSS posts - Cairo, Algiers, and Caserta - winding up at age twenty-four with the title Acting Chief of Operations, OSS, MEDTO. After extensively researching documents in the National Archives, he presents his own story within the context of the OSS's role in North Africa, Southern France, and Italy."--Jacket.
