The book "Fine Coal Processing", edited by S. K. Mishra and R. R. Klimpel, consists 17 chapters plus a 4-page subject index. The excellent introductory chapter, written by Professor Frank F. Aplan, "Fine Coal Preparation — Its Present Status and Future", sets the tone of the book by describing the present (i.e., late 1980's) status of coal preparation and giving a perspective, terminology and definitions.
