In the course of a trance, a Sioux Indian experiences the Battle of Wounded Knee. It happens to Joseph Blue Crow of South Dakota on his return to his roots. Crow abandoned the red way for the white way of women and booze, but on losing his job as a disk jockey made a comeback to the sweat lodge, the sacred pipe and the vision quest.
