About
Beatrix Potter meets Kunio Yanagita in this collection of modern fairy tales. Like J.K. Rowling or Rick Riordan, Naoko Awa writes timeless tales that will resonate with readers of all ages. Awa was influenced by the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, and The Arabian Nights, but her take is lyrically Japanese. Toshiya Kamei's translation brings Awa into English for the first time.
