The app is Shelfola. The developer is Shelfola. You can delete your account yourself, in the app or on this page.

In the app
- Open Shelfola and sign in.
- Open Me (your profile picture), then Account.
- Choose Delete account.
- Read what is deleted and what is kept, then type your handle and confirm.

If you cannot sign in
Email hello@shelfola.com from the address on the account. Include the handle if you know it. We delete the account within 7 days and reply once when it is done. That is the only email we send about a deletion.
What is deleted
- Your login, email and password
- Your name, handle, bio and profile picture
- Shelves, reading progress, ratings, private notes, tags and goals
- Reviews, posts and comments you wrote
- Club memberships, follows, blocks, mutes and notifications
- Author-claim data: the claim, the proof and the verified-author link
What is kept
- A review, post, comment or update that other people replied to stays on the page as “Deleted account”, with your name removed, so their replies are not lost
- A club, challenge or collaborative list that other people still use is handed to another member. A club with only you is deleted
- The author page stays in the catalogue. It is no longer linked to your account
- A book cover or author photo you uploaded that is already on a public page stays there, without your name. Unused uploads are deleted
- The error log keeps the error text and drops the link to you. Moderation notes keep the action and drop the link to you
- Your handle is held for 30 days so nobody else can take it straight away, then it is released
The shared catalogue of books and authors is not your account, so it stays. We do not keep a copy of your library for advertising, and we do not sell personal data.
How long it takes
In the app, deletion is immediate and you are signed out. We do not send an email. An email request, if you cannot sign in, is finished within 7 days.
